A Prearrival Offer of Henri Boillot’s 2007 Vintage
Deadline for orders, Friday April 24

Here is what Robert Parker says about these extraordinary examples of Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune's most famous appellations:
"He (Boillot) has gone from strength to strength, sparing no expense, obsessing over every detail, fashioning magnificent wines....Thanks to his superhuman efforts Domaine Jean Boillot [since renamed Domaine Henri Boillot] should now be counted among the finest producers in the Côte de Beaune for both reds and whites." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

Tasting Henri Boillot's wines are a jaw-dropping experience because you become instantly aware that the wine in your glass is at a level of sensory flooding you have not before encountered. These wines are on a very short list of the finest expressions of Chardonnay in the world.

Here is what Allen Meadows of Burghound says about the Boillot wines:
"Henri Boillot continues to make stunning wines from his négociant operations and he has arguably become the finest pure négoce specializing in white Burgundy today; yes there are other very fine négociants but the huge majority of them are really domaines hidden inside a "maison" facade that buy in fruit or must to supplement their proprietary wines. Please see the comments for Domaine Henri Boillot as Boillot notes that he treats the Maison wines exactly the same as those of the Domaine." -Allen Meadows, Burghound

Here are the first reviews from Stephen Tanzer.

2007 St Romain Blanc: Case, 518 (43.17); Half Case, 268 (44.67)
"Citrus fruits, spices and licorice on the nose, along with a stony nuance. Juicy, minty and rather cool in the mouth with good rocky intensity and grip."

2007 Bourgogne Chardonnay: Case, 376 (31.33); Half Case, 198 (33)
A blend of Meursault and St.-Romain vines to impart a delicious blend of apples, melons and pears all while achieving incredible balance and acidity.

2007 Puligny Montrachet: Case, 769 (64.08); Half Case, 394 (65.67)
"Subdued musky, spicy nose. Then fat, broad, supple and sweet, conveying a fairly impression. It has only 1.3 gms of residual sugar, but tastes more than that. A blend of Enseigneres and Charmes."

Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes: Case, 1239 (103.25); Half Case, 629 (104.83)
"Aromas of peach, pear, and white flowers. Enters the mouth like liquid silk, then intense and quite suave in the middle palate, with a chewy tactile quality and fresh minerality. A step up in texture, concentration and class from the village wines, and very long on the aftertaste. These vines are situated in the higher portion of Charmes, adjacent to Puligny-Montrachet Combettes."

2007 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres: Case, 1239 (103.25); Half Case, 629 (104.83)
"Rather exotic aromas of soft citrus fruits and gingerbread. At once sweet and taut, with a strong panettone character. Less complex today than the Charmes -and less thick than the '06 version of Genevrieres- but pure and quite persistent."

2007 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrieres: Case, 1239 (103.25); Half Case, 629 (104.83)
"Nose dominated by smoky oak. Fat, broad, and rich with a dominant peach flavor. The wine's volume and fat give it a distinctly glyceral, sweet impression but Boillot assures me that this one is one of the driest wines in all of 2007. Finishes fat, long and classically dry."

2007 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de La Mouchere: Case of six, 617 (102.83)
"Clos de La Mouchere is a monopole within Les Perrieres and represents the top of Puligny. 68-year-old vines producing a total of 35 hectoliters/hectare. Miniscule. Peach, spices and minerals on the nose. Dense and creamy but quite dry in the mouth, with deep, nuanced flavors of yellow peach, apple and spices." Only 8 available.

2007 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru: Case of six, 927 (154.5)
"Pale, bright yellow. Brisk aromas of lemon, pear, vanilla and hawthorn. Superconcentrated and solidy build, with enticing sweetness of sappy, apply fruit and a wonderfully tactile, ch
ewy texture. FInishes with explosive, palate staining length."Only 5 available.

2007 Batard Montrachet Grand Cru: Case of six, 1961 (326.83)
"Good pale color. Stone fruits and spicy oak on the nose, plus a suggestion of exotic fruits. Suave, rich and smooth, with powerful flavors of candied fruits, citrus peel and spicy oak. This dense, very ripe and dry wine is a bit youthfully tough today."

2007 St Aubin 1cru les Pitangerets Blanc: Case, 549 (45.75); Half Case, 284 (47.33)
Only 200 cases made. 30% new barrels. Manual harvest. Clay limestone soil. Great purity and minerality. The Saint Aubin was not reviewed by Tanzer. Henri gave us some cases of this wine for the first time.
